Shahed + Brian – St. Demetrios Cultural Center Rocky River

Hi John (and Adele!!)

Brian and I met in 2016 and our chemistry was very strong from minute one. We kept meeting up (somehow  it was always on Wednesdays, so his coworkers called me Wednesday girl haha). Five years and lots of hard work and growth later, Brian proposed on May 1, 2021, in the park, under the Manhattan Bridge. We were mostly looking forward to having a really fun night with lots of family and friends that have been waiting impatiently for this day! Funny story, when we were looking for venue spaces, Brian, my mom, and I all individually found and fell in love with St. Demetrios Cultural Hall. Later that night, we were all getting ready to show each other what we found, and surprise, we all found the same place!!

Trisha from Coyne Catering was incredibly helpful, supportive, personable, and responsive. Everyone including ourselves couldn’t stop talking about how good the food was, especially the tenderness of the brisket. Our night wouldn’t have been possible without you and Adele (big shoutout to John Paul Studios), our incredible photographer, Kylene Dorthea Photography, RAK Photobooths (there was constantly a line!!), our DJ- Soul Glow Music, and the talented Sudanese band, Samira and Nadir. Thank you for making our wedding so special and allowing us to relive our magical night through the AMAZING video you captured- we watch it at least once a week.

One last shoutout- Elena from Party Decor for providing the most beautiful linens, napkins, and the seating and backdrop for the henna ceremony. We can always count on Party Decor to provide the most elegant arrangements.
