The morning of my wedding day started with an unexpected surprise – thunder and lightning at 5 am. But you know what they say, “If it’s going to storm, better now than later, right?” As I look back on that day, I can’t help but smile at the thought of how it all unfolded. So, let me take you through my unforgettable wedding day, filled with a mix of emotions, incredible professionals, and cherished moments.
Getting Glamorous
My day began early, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice of makeup and hair stylists, Belle and Ari. They were not just experts at what they did; they were also wonderful at keeping us on schedule. Thanks to their magic touch, every woman they worked on looked and felt beautiful. It was the perfect start to a day filled with radiance and confidence.
A Sacred Venue
The place where Pawel and I exchanged our vows held immense significance for me – the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Lorain. This is where my parents had tied the knot back in 1994, and it was also the same place where my father’s funeral mass was held. Despite the emotional weight of this location, I somehow managed to keep my makeup intact. Love truly has a way of carrying you through even the most emotionally charged moments.
Capturing Memories
Adel and her team from John Paul Studios were the unsung heroes of our wedding day. They were there from the early morning preparations, capturing candid moments at my mom’s home and the arrival of my family from Poland. Despite the ceremony running a bit longer than expected, Adel, Andre, and Andy ensured that all the photos we had requested were taken efficiently. They made the process of family photos stress-free and fun, and I can’t thank them enough for saving me from any unexpected fountain dives at Lakeview.
The Dream Reception
Our reception at German’s Villa in Vermilion was everything we had ever dreamed of. When we arrived, we were overjoyed to see our vision come to life. Cliff German, who played a pivotal role in making it all happen, was not just a pleasure to work with but also incredibly accommodating to our Polish traditions and needs.
Elegant Transformations
Erinn Wasiniak and her team at Simply Yours deserve a special shoutout for the transformative work they did on the reception hall. The drapery, backdrops, and chairs were styled to perfection, creating a magical atmosphere that left everyone in awe. Zelek Florist in Lorain, on the other hand, absolutely wowed us with their exquisite floral arrangements. Mary, the creative genius behind it all, took my ideas and turned them into reality, making the hall an enchanting space.
An Unforgettable DJNo wedding reception is complete without great music, and we were fortunate to have State of Mind from Chicago, Illinois, making it a night to remember. Our DJ not only played a sensational playlist but also displayed remarkable MC skills in both Polish and English. From engaging our guests with games to keeping the dance floor alive, State of Mind left a lasting impression. Even now, our guests can’t stop talking about the incredible experience.
